ROOM 4 IMPROVEMENT: Mesmé + Archie Sullivan b2b Phil Spank

Room 4 Improvement warmly welcomes a beloved selector and world-renowned air-wave storyteller, Mesmé. Born in Iran and raised in Singapore, Mesmé’s sets are built through atmosphere, texture, and a meticulous sense of narrative. Grounded by a seven-year residency with LA warehouse institution Into The Woods and four years broadcasting on dublab's experimental airwaves, the LA-based DJ, record collector and producer has earned a quiet reputation as a devoted digger and deeply trusted selector. On support we welcome R4I resident, Phil Spank, and the SF-based multidisciplinary artist, Archie Sullivan. Phil and Archie will start the night off with a slow and deep build to get the dancefloor moving and the bodies grooving. Mesmé's sets move fluidly across deep house, techno, electro, trip-hop, jazz, and atmospheric acoustics with uncommon restraint and elegance. Her technique is subtle yet transformative, reinterpreting vinyl through unexpected tempos and threading evocative vocal layers over deep grooves. Phil Spank is a California based DJ and member of both Room 4 Improvement and Space Milk, Spank’s been embedded in the West Coast sound for more than a decade. Nothing’s off limits when his hands touch the wax so expect to be kept on your toes as he serves up a high heat selection aimed to make you dip, dodge, duck, dive and… dance. London-born and a dancer at heart, Archie’s blends are focused on finding a steady groove and making your body move. Sometimes minimal, sometimes funky, often wonky and occasionally weird - but always deep. $5.50-11.25
